Lala Kent’s Given Birth to Her Second Daughter: Everything We Know

Lala Kent gives birth to second child.

From the moment Lala Kent thought about having a second child, she made it pretty clear she was going to do it herself. Thanks to the ongoing custody battle with her ex, Randall Emmett, Lala has noted time and time again that she is scarred from their breakup. So it made sense when she wanted to go down the Intrauterine Insemination route. The joyous day has arrived, and Lala is finally welcoming her child into the world. So naturally, fans want to know everything they can about this future Vanderpump Rules 2.0 star.

Lala Kent welcomes baby number 2

On September 3, 2024, Lala became a mother for the second time as she welcomed another daughter. The Vanderpump Rules star took to her Instagram Story to update fans. The makeup mogul wrote over a black background, “Welcome into the world, my love.” And in the bottom right corner, she added the date “9.3.24.” At the time, Lala hadn’t revealed the name of her second daughter. Viewers watched during the recent season as Lala opened up about her motherhood journey.

During Season 11, Lala revealed she was looking for a sperm donor. Lala was even open enough to take Bravo cameras to the California Cryobank as she talked to the doctor. She hosted a party at Villa Rosa aptly called “Who’s Your Daddy,” where she and her friends could look through a potential book of donors. In a confessional, Lala noted, “I am just a couple hours away from choosing my baby daddy. I have so many people who are supportive of me, who love my daughter a lot, and I know who are going to just love on this new baby. If there’s one thing that I feel like I’m good at in my life, it’s that I’m a good mama.”

Along with the black screen, it seemed that Lala might have purposefully or accidentally shared some audio from her birthing process. Bravo picked up on the full-volume addition to the post, sharing that multiple voices could be heard in the background. In the clip, Lala’s medical team can be heard saying, “Times two, reduce, perfect” as the baby is delivered. Then, multiple voices say, “Oh my God,” before the baby delivers its first cry. In the background, Lala and other supporters in the room can be heard sobbing.

In August, Lala opened up about her birthing plan to The Bump. Lala noted, “I plan on having a party in the delivery room. During Ocean’s birth, we were limited due to the pandemic. This time, I’d love to have more visitors. If I could take my exact birth with Ocean and just redo it with this baby, it was flawless.” In the interview, Lala also shared that Scheana Shay would be the first VPR star to meet the new infant. Lala added, “She was the first person I told in person. She knew what day I was being inseminated. She’s been there through all the ups and downs of this pregnancy. So yeah, she’ll be the one that I call where I’m like, ‘I’m on the way.'”

Beyoncé might have a new fan

While Vanderpump Rules fans were anxiously waiting for a name announcement, Lala wasn’t in a rush to divulge the moniker. But in a pre-recorded episode for her podcast, Lala gave a bit more background to her decision not to share the name. The Pump Rules star noted, “Today is Beyoncé’s birthday. September 4th is her day. We can’t announce today.” Her curious co-hosts Jessica Walter and Easton Burningham asked why she felt she needed to keep the name on the down low. Lala answered, “No one’s gonna give a sh*t. It’s Beyoncé’s birthday!” I have to be honest, Lala, no one cares that it is Queen B’s birthday; tell us the name!

Lala did drop a hint, saying, “I’m gonna wait. Baby S gets her moment,” presumably hinting at Baby number 2’s initial. Personally, I’m guessing she will try to keep the marine theme going. Before the clue, I thought Lala could have been thinking of Isla, Kai, or Aqua. But if she is going with an S, she could go with Salila, Siren, or Sunny. However, my guess was wrong, as on September 9, Lala revealed that she had named her daughter Sosa.
