Lala Kent’s podcast is about to endure a major shakeup. Her assistant, Jessica Walter, will no longer be a part of Give Them Lala. While the departure seemed to be on good terms, the Vanderpump Rules star didn’t tell listeners the reason for the departure.
It will be interesting to see how the podcast changes going forward. Lala’s come a long way since her ex-husband left the podcast. Shortly after cutting the fat, Lala did a podcast tour. Now, a person has to wonder if Lala’s popularity could facilitate such a thing. Her chances might be better or worse without Jessica, depending on who you ask. So, what happened?
Lala Kent’s “ride or die” assistant no longer works for her
On the most recent episode of her podcast, Lala revealed a shakeup in her cohosts. “My ride or die Jessica is no longer going to be working for me and she will no longer be on the podcast. My relief is that she is going to go spread her wings and fly. And we wish her all the best and I love her more than anything, and I’m so excited to see what she’s going to do in her future.”
Lala didn’t say anything more on the matter. Perhaps rather oddly, she snuck the announcement in near the very end of the episode. Listeners could only speculate as to why Jessica wasn’t sticking around. Some fans would go as far as to think that Lala’s podcast might be on the way out. But that’s nothing more than speculation.
Funnily enough, Lala’s situation is sort of the opposite of Rachel Leviss’. Rachel recently decided to quit her podcast, leaving her publicist to take over. Perhaps 2025 will be the year of the assistants. Things have already worked out quite well for Ann Maddox. Perhaps Jessica can make a name for herself outside of Lala. Maybe one day, she’ll tell everyone why she left
