Lala Kent Reveals the Moment She Knew ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Was Over

Lala Kent knew the original version of “Vanderpump Rules” was over months before Bravo officially told the cast members in November 2024.

Lala Kent Slams Tom Sandoval Over Comment He Made About Her Daughter

On the November 29 episode of the “Scheananigans With Scheana Shay” podcast, Kent said she knew her cast’s show was over when she called out Ariana Madix during the season 11 finale episode filmed  at Kyle Chan’s Gold Bar Whiskey collab event in San Francisco in September 2023.

“I’ve known that this was coming for a while,” Kent told Scheana Shay on her podcast. “I think I knew the moment that I lost my [expletive] at the finale of season 11. It just felt very final to me.”

“There was nothing left to say,” the Bravo veteran added. “The story was done. And I think I’ve said that for quite a while. There’s no more story to tell with this group of people.”

On November 26,  Bravo announced that  “Vanderpump Rules” would be rebooted with an all-new cast for season 12.

On the season 11 finale, titled “Plot Twist,” Kent reacted after Madix refused to film with her estranged ex, Tom Sandoval following his cheating scandal with their former co-star Rachel Leviss.

“This happened to her. The world rallied around her,” Kent said of Madix. “She now thinks she is Beyonce. It’s bull [expletive] that she can’t film with someone because she stays under the same roof. It’s a lot. It’s a lot that she’s saying don’t [expletive] with Tom Sandoval… But, I’m gonna sleep down the hall from Tom Sandoval.”

“I get it, he [expletive] cheated,” Kent added. “You did a really [expletive] thing. It was weird how you looked us all in the eye and said a lot of [expletive. But, he did not kill somebody. I never in my life experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly she becomes God!”

Kent also claimed that Madix “moved on eight days later” with new boyfriend Daniel Wai.

Madix was stunned when she saw Kent’s comments about her when the finale aired.

In October 2024, Kent told Sirius XM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” that she does not have a relationship with Madix anymore. She also confirmed that a reconciliation “will never happen” with her former co-star and noted that the damage to the friend group has been irreparable.

“Let’s just say there’s no more story to tell, right?” Kent told Lewis. “There’s only two people to blame for that and that’s Sandoval and Raquel. Okay? Ariana, I will always be a cheerleader for. …I have no ill feelings about anybody on the show and I think that’s what it feels for the first time. I just feel peace.”

Lala Kent Has 1 Regret About Her Final ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Scene

On “Scheananagins,” Kent claimed she did not want to return to “Vanderpump Rules” after season 10 but was coaxed to do “just one more season.”

“I was like, ‘This is gonna turn out very badly. I’m just letting you all know it’s gonna turn out badly,’” she said. “[And] it turned out worse than what I prepared them for.”

Kent admitted she had one regret about her final season. “I wish that after the finale, after I lost my mind, that I would’ve called Ariana and said, ‘I want to let you know that I said some really, really hurtful things that’ll probably be friendship ending,’” she said. “It was not my style. I can’t even believe that I didn’t do that because I’m so adamant about when I say things behind your back, I’m gonna say it to your face. I still went to her [Broadway] show. I still supported her, all the while knowing that I said what I said.”

“I don’t regret saying what I said,” the “Vanderpump Rules” veteran clarified. “I regret not giving her the heads up.”
