Lala Kent Admits Kristen Doute Feud Was ‘Only My Fault’ Before Revealing How They Reconnected

Lala Kent has finally squashed one — of several — feuds with her former Vanderpump Rules costars.

Lala Kent Reveals What Led to Her and Kristen Doute Reconnecting After Lengthy Feud

During the Wednesday, May 7, episode of the “Give Them Lala” podcast, Lala, 34, explained how a baby shower for a mutual friend brought her and Kristen Doute back into each other’s lives.

“You know the ups and downs that I have been going through with Kristen, who is also dear friends with Meredith,” Lala said. “We haven’t really spoken. We’ve spoken about each other — but we haven’t been good. During [Kristen’s] pregnancy, I have been reaching out a lot and not getting a response, which is totally fine.”

It wasn’t until Kristen, 42, finally did respond that the pair were able to address their issues.

“She started warming up and I was getting a response. The day before the shower, I got a message from her,” Lala recalled. “She said she was debating coming to the shower because she didn’t know if it was appropriate for her to welcome herself into my home with where we’ve been — but she wants to be here to support Meredith.”

For the Bravo fans who need a refresher, Lala and Kristen’s feud originally began in November 2023. At the time, Lala cut Kristen off after accusing her of not showing support at a live podcast taping where Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi threw shade at Lala’s lack of a coparenting relationship with ex Randall Emmett.

How Did Lala Kent and Kristen Doute Finally Reconnect After Lengthy Feud:

“We got into a fight. She stopped speaking to me,” Kristen recalled on the “Viall Files” podcast in June 2024. “I found out per Brittany [Cartwright] that Lala says I am dead to her because of this. I tried reaching out to her and never spoke to her.”

At the time, Kristen made it clear that she had no regrets, adding, “I don’t need that in my life. I feel like friendships with Lala come with so many conditions. It is so conditional. If you do this then you are on her good side.”

Lala, meanwhile, took responsibility for her part in the drama.

“I wrote her a lengthy text message. I do feel like our fallout really was only my fault,” Lala shared on Wednesday. “You have to remember I had my hormonal goggles on. My hormones were raging.”

According to Lala, her IUI journey contributed to her emotional reaction.

“It was just an internal battle. Also at that stage, I was dealing with the aftermath of a really difficult season,” she said in reference to Vanderpump Rules, which has since been overhauled. “So I cut people out of my life thinking this is my way of protecting myself.”

Lala and Kristen have since taken the steps to get to a better place.

“I sent her this message. Her response was, ‘You’ve got me very emotional.’ I left it at that. I said, ‘But I want you to be comfortable. So if you’re not ready, I completely respect that wholeheartedly,'” she continued. “She came and we refollowed each other on Instagram. That’s what you know when you’re back at it.”

Getting to reconcile with Kristen turned out to be very important to Lala, who said, “I feel really, really happy about us being able to rekindle a friendship. I’m sure it’s gonna be a slow roll. [But] I’m glad that we could make it right before she gives birth. Because I missed out on most of Scheana [Shay]’s pregnancy because we were beefing. I can’t help but think I’m the common denominator in these things.”
