Lala Kent addressed Jax Taylor‘s recent revelations about his cocaine addiction and offered an update on her custody battle with Randall Emmett during an appearance on Tuesday.
After wrapping the years-long legal fight with her former fiance over their three-year-old daughter, Ocean, the 34-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum shared where she stands with Randall, 53. First, though, she reacted to the news of Jax’s addiction, admitting that she knows “a lot” and applauding Jax, 45, for coming forward.
“[Brittany Cartwright] is one of my dearest friends. I know a lot. I don’t know what is going to be shown on their new season of The Valley. What I do know is I’m very close with her, and anything that we’ve discussed, that is her story to share,” Lala began during her March 4 appearance on Amazon Live. “It’s a very, very delicate subject.”
Signaling her own sobriety, sharing that she’s been in a program for six years, four months, and some change, Lala noted that sobriety is “not one size fits all.”
“Everyone has a different level of addiction, but addiction is addiction,” she explained. “[But] I’m incredibly proud of him. That is not easy to admit. This is going to be his journey and his journey only, and he should be the only one to speak on it because none of us know what he’s been through.”
“I’m happy for him, and I am really happy for Cruz, so I wish him nothing but the best in his sobriety,” she added. “[I’m] very, very hopeful and excited to see what his future holds if he chooses down this path.”
At another moment of the livestream, via The Daily Dish, Lala declared, “The custody battle is over.”
“It’s officially ended. We’re done with it,” she continued. “After over three years, we have signed an agreement that is best for our daughter, Ocean. So I’m very, very happy about that. I’m so happy. That has weighed on my heart and soul for so long, and I’m sure it’s been the same for my ex.”
In addition to revealing she and Randall had settled their differences over Ocean, Lala said that she and Randall were actually in a “good place.”
“We were able to get to a good place for the well-being of our kid,” she shared.
Then, after gushing that Ocean “is such a vibe, so fun,” and adding that she “[digs] her to [her] core,” Lala revealed that her second child, six-month-old Sosa, is “becoming a real mama’s girl.”
“If I’m not holding her, she’s fussing … It is very intense right now. She doesn’t go to anybody,” Lala explained. “This is what I asked for, though … I said I want a baby that’s all mine, and she is not having anybody but me.”
