Many football fans have said that Atlanta Falcons Tight End Kyle Pitts has had an underwhelming career thus far since being drafted 3rd overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Some fans have even called him a bust. Coming out of the University of Florida, the 6 foot 6 46-pounder was slated to be the most talented tight end prospect ever in NFL history, with potent athleticism and speed. He was even labeled as a unicorn.

In his first three seasons with the Falcons, Pitts totaled 145 receptions for 2,049 yards and 6 touchdowns. Given Kyle’s hype coming into the NFL, some would say his performance has been less than expected. But many factors played a role into his low production such as style of offensive, quarterback issues, play calling and more. Kyle also hasn’t targeted very much throughout his career.

A plethora of Atlanta Falcons fans were even calling for Kyle Pitts to be traded. But in 2024, things seem to be a bit different. This season through 16 games, Kyle Pitts had accumulated 45 receptions for 587 yards and 4 touchdowns. Against the Washington Commanders on December 29th, 2024, Pitts had 4 catches for 44 yards and 1 touchdown that could’ve given the Falcons the win.

With the emergence of quarterback Michael Penix Jr who’s athletic, mobile and accurate,Kyle Pitts will be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL. As Michael Penix Jr in his career, so will Kyle Pitts and that will make him one of the top players in the NFL given his skillset and athleticism.
