Knicks Named Offseason Trade Suitor for Bucks' $175M Superstar: Report

The New York Knicks have been one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference this season and they are trying to make another deep playoff run this season.

New York has to get by the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the playoffs but they have taken complete control of the series.

While the Knicks look to make another playoff run with their core of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges, they may have a tough time with the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers looming in front of them.

Because of this, New York may be in line for another early playoff exit, which could allow them to make another blockbuster trade in the offseason.

Of course, the Knicks pulled off two blockbuster trades last offseason that landed them Town from the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets and they have been named a potential landing spot for another superstar this offseason.

According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, the Knicks have been named as a potential trade suitor for Giannis Antetokounmpo if the star demands a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks.

“The (Miami) Heat, Brooklyn Nets, and New York Knicks have always been mentioned as suitors for Giannis,” Siegel wrote. “Out of these three teams, the Nets obviously have the most to offer.”

While New York would likely love to pair Giannis alongside Brunson and Towns, they do not have a ton of tradeable assets to offer Milwaukee in return, which Siegel points out.

Despite this, the Knicks could send a package centered around either Bridges or Anunoby to Milwaukee in exchange for Giannis, but the Bucks may be able to land a better offer from a different team.

Either way, expect the Knicks to have talks with the Bucks if Giannis becomes available this summer as he will be the most sought-after superstar on the trade market.
