For years, NBA fans called out Michael Jordan for not giving back to the community.
While he’s always been a bit of a philanthropist, Jordan has rarely made public appearances, and most of the things he does are only made public because other people report them.
Fortunately for the greatest shooting guard of all time, Kevin Durant is right there to give him a helping hand.
Recently, the Phoenix Suns star took to Twitter to praise Jordan for his work with the community, as he just opened a third clinic in Wilmington, North Carolina, to serve uninsured and underinsured residents (via NBA Central).
Apparently, the legendary guard made a $10 million donation, and the Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic will provide quality care for their patients.
Durant called Jordan and his mother ‘two GOATs’ and praised them for the way they’ve made a positive impact in the world and everything they do.
Granted, Jordan might not be the biggest activist or a vocal guy, and he would rather keep a low profile instead of making public appearances and making headlines, even if it’s to get praise.
He’s never been too fond of all the media attention, which is understandable if you consider the fact that fact he was the most famous person on Earth during his prime.
Even so, we should give credit where it’s due, and props to Jordan and his family for this major move they’ve made.
