The New York Knicks are gearing up for what should be quite the exciting Eastern Conference Finals matchup against the Indiana Pacers.
This isn't the first meeting between these two clubs in the NBA Playoffs, only the latest. This will be the ninth time the two teams have met in the playoffs and the third time in the Conference Finals.
While the Pacers hold the all-time advantage 5-3, the Knicks have beaten the Pacers twice when a trip to the NBA Finals is on the line.
Karl-Anthony Towns sends 3-word message ahead of Eastern Conference Finals
While much of the love for the Knicks' playoff run has gone to Jalen Brunson, and deservingly so, Karl-Anthony Towns is playing some of the best basketball of his career at the most crucial time.
Towns was crucial in the semifinals against the Boston Celtics, particularly on the boards. He averaged 12.7 per game for the series, it was his three offensive rebounds per game that were felt the most.
The Indiana Pacers will present a different set of challenges than the Celtics and the Detroit Pistons before them, so it will be interesting to see which adjustments are made and which team adjusts quicker.
Ahead of Game 1, Towns delivered a 3-word message with a hype video.
"Fear no one," his post read.
Madison Square Garden will be rocking in a way it hasn't in 25 years.
In what many consider "The Mecca" of basketball, Knicks fans have been watching and waiting for their opportunity.
They truly feel this collection of guys is talented enough to take home the trophy and hang a banner in the rafters for the first time since 1973.
