Kansas City Chiefs Land Legendary Receiver in Massive Trade Proposal

The Kansas City Chiefs have started the 2024 season undefeated through the first five weeks of the year, but many still think they are more vulnerable than in years past. The team has very little depth in the receiver room, especially after star Rashee Rice went down in Week Four against the Los Angeles Chargers with a season-ending LCL injury. However, the NFL trade deadline is coming up quickly, and the Chiefs are predicted to land one of the most legendary receivers.

Kansas City is one of the teams that could trade for star receiver DeAndre Hopkins by the deadline. Hopkins is going on his third year with the Tennessee Titans after playing for the Arizona Cardinals and the Houston Texans for most of his career. The star receiver has been a great addition to the Titans. However, he could be looking to move to a different team with Tennessee’s recent struggles.

DeAndre Hopkins Career

Hopkins has been one of the top receivers in the league for most of his career, amounting to 12,476 receiving yards and 79 touchdowns since being drafted by the Texans in 2013. He has not been able to produce like he used to earlier in his career, but many fans and analysts think. If he plays with a great quarterback like Patrick Mahomes, he could surge once again.

The Chiefs have made it clear that they will be targeting a receiver before the trade deadline, and Cleveland Browns star Amari Cooper is amongst that list along with Hopkins. Seeing an aging veteran like Hopkins go to a team that has won the past two Super Bowls could increase his chances of winning a championship before he hangs up the cleats.

Do you think the Chiefs will sing Hopkins, or will they target someone else?
