Kansas City Chiefs: Harrison Butker, Donald Trump Subtly Mocked by Future NFL Hall of Famer on Social Media

The Kansas City Chiefs may be the defending Super Bowl Champions (again), but very little of what has been reported about them this offseason has had anything to do with their winning ways. Of course, Travis Kelce‘s relationship with 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift has continued to grab headlines, but that is to be expected given her international popularity.

Unfortunately, a few of their other players have been in the news for other more serious reasons. Wide receiver Rashee Rice has had two civil suits brought against him due to his involvement in a high-speed car accident earlier this offseason. He is also facing legal charges for driving 119 miles per hour and leaving the scene of the accident.

Defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs was recently arrested and charged with two counts of animal cruelty. Two dogs were found without food or water in a house that he owns. Buggs, however, denies knowing the dogs were there and claims they are not his.

Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker Gave a Controversial Graduation Speech

While the things that Rice and Buggs are accused of are clearly wrong and illegal, the things that Harrison Butker said during his commencement speech at Benedictine College have both supporters and detractors. The speech, which went viral last month, was filled with far-right traditional Catholic statements regarding several aspects of current society.

One of the things that Butker said which drew harsh criticism was his opinion on women and their “ideal” role in society:

“For the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment. You should be proud of all that you have achieved to this point in your young lives. I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you.

“How many of you are sitting here now about to cross this stage and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career? Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”

In the days that followed the speech, numerous celebrities spoke out against his views on women, including Flavor Flav and Eddie Vedder. His Chiefs teammates, meanwhile, have stood by him (though they have also stated that they do not agree with anything that he said).

Former Philadelphia Eagles Jason Kelce Takes Subtle Shot at Harrison Butker on Social Media

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has already addressed his views on Butker’s speech. His wife, Kylie Kelce, also had strong words about Butker’s message when she gave a commencement speech of her own a week later.

On Saturday, the future Hall of Fame center took part in a funny debate on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the best way to wash one’s body during a shower.

At one point, Kelce posted the following statement:

“All of you have been fed diabolical lies that washing every crevice of your bodies and hair, all the time is somehow better or healthier. Any dermatologist not in bed with Big Soap will agree!! Hot spots are all that is necessary and actually leads to cleaner healthier skin.”

The “diabolical lies” phrase is an obvious jab at Butker, who told the women in the audience of his commencement speech that they had been fed “diabolical lies” regarding how they can find fulfillment in life.

“Any dermatologist not in bed with Big Soap will agree!” is an obvious jab at former President Donald Trump, who has a tendency to say that anyone will agree with him as long as they are not corrupted by contrasting ideologies.
