Josh Allen's special shoutout to Bills Mafia in Hard Knocks opener proves he's the perfect QB for Buffalo

It was never going to be a surprise that Hard Knocks would be locking in on Josh Allen, giving the world a chance to see what makes the superstar MVP QB tick. Honestly, if it were just an hour about Josh Allen, we would've been all-in. However, even as fans, these types of documentaries allow us to get an even more personal look at these larger-than-life players.

Josh Allen's special shoutout to Bills Mafia in Hard Knocks opener proves he's the perfect QB for Buffalo

Josh Allen, as Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane indicated during the documentary, has the weight of the world on his shoulders and is more than ready to rise to the occasion (again). Bills Mafia, equally, is ready to cheer him on and give him all the energy he needs to be successful.

Bills Mafia loves Josh Allen, Josh Allen loves Bills Mafia

The organization fully understands just how much the fanbase means to the team and the city, and Allen is no different. During an interview on Hard Knocks, Allen opened up on what Bills Mafia means to him, along with what it meant for him to win MVP in the grand scheme of things.

Giving the fanbase their flowers, Allen offered, "Bills Mafia is special, the way that they love their football team. The type of people that are here in WNY, I think it is really a shadow of our locker room, that tight-knit family-like atmosphere."

Next year is our year was always something I can remember my family saying growing up as a Bills fan, and it's even something that I find myself doing. Allen even brought it up during his interview, the infectious nature of just how hard the Bills Mafia supports their team.

Josh Allen doesn't hold back

Allen continued, "Every year, they have this energy and this excitement that it's going to be our year, no matter how good or bad last season was. It makes us want to go out and play extremely well for them."

Allen has been known to give Bills Mafia their flowers on more than one occasion.

Moving on to his MVP award, Allen has been clear this offseason: he wants a Super Bowl. As a franchise QB often does, Allen pushed the success to the team. (Reason #282372 why he's our favorite). "Being mentioned for MVP means your team is doing really well, probably in the hunt for the playoffs, and you're doing your job."

Josh Allen is beloved, and it's not hard to see why

As to what it means for his day-to-day life, not a worry, "It doesn't change my life to have that accolade or to have more of those accolades. The only thing I'm worried about is doing everything I can to bring a Lombardi trophy here."

While it was mostly all smiles, I could do without the reminder that the team lost 4 straight Super Bowls... or the repeated losses to the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs. Other than that, 10/10 and no notes.
