Jets Fans Explode Over Bringing In Weapon For Aaron Rodgers Who Was Just Released

In 2024, the New York Jets are looking for anyone and everyone who can help them win a Super Bowl.  In spite of Aaron Rodgers’ declaration that he wants to play multiple more seasons, the fact is that he’s now over 40 and could retire at any time.  As long as Rodgers is under center, it’s always Super Bowl or bust for the Jets.

Jets Twitter exploded over the idea of adding a recently released weapon who could add to their offense.

According to a recent report from Gridiron Heroics:

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that former Pittsburgh wide receiver Denzel Mims is back on the free agent market after being released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After being released by the Steelers this summer, Mims signed with the Jaguars. After spending most of last season on the practice squad, he returned to Pittsburgh this spring for Organized Team Activities and minicamp. After being waived, he found another opportunity before training camp.

The Jets drafted Mims in the second round of the 2020 draft, but he hasn’t been able to translate his size and speed to meaningful success in the NFL. Despite being 26 years old, Mims hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2022 season. Detroit, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville have all cut Mims since the Jets traded him to the Lions last summer, and he has yet to appear in a regular-season game.

However, that hasn’t stopped New York fans from wanting him back:
