Jesse Palmer Reveals The Bachelor Season 29 With Grant Ellis "Starts With A Bang" Amid Signs Producers Finally Fixed Major Mistake

The Bachelor season 29 host Jesse Palmer revealed that Grant Ellis' journey "starts with a bang" and a very dramatic premiere. The Bachelor season 29 producers fixed a major mistake by announcing Grant as the lead early so contestants could apply specifically to date him. This way, when stepping out of the limousine, no one would be disappointed to find that their favorite alum wasn't the Bachelor. Fans first fell in love with Grant during Jenn Tran's Bachelorette season, but she said goodbye to him before her hometown dates. Now Jesse gives a sneak peek of his season premiere.

The Bachelor season 29 host Jesse previewed Grant's season premiere, teasing lots of drama among the 25 women competing for his heart.

In an interview with ParadeThe Bachelor season 29 host Jesse previewed Grant's season premiere, teasing lots of drama among the 25 women competing for his heart. Jesse revealed, "A lot of nervous energy is what I remember on Grant’s first night. Normally, that’s a theme. I just think Grant was really tapping back into his experience on Jenn’s season and remembering how he felt when he got out of the limo."

Jesse had a lot of praise for the women and how they behaved on their first night. He said, "The women did an unbelievable job. They were creative, clever, witty, funny. They all looked absolutely beautiful. Very memorable." However, Jesse added that there were arguments among the women. He laughed, "There are some very strong opinions in the house. They’re not afraid to voice those set opinions pretty early on. I think people can get ready for that. It starts with a bang."

Jesse also shared that fans are in for a wild ride, not just during premiere night but throughout the whole season. He said, "I’ve just been going back and watching some of the first episodes that have been edited and put together, and it’s very, very emotional. There are going to be some surprises along the road for sure. This isn’t one of those seasons where there’s going to be a few surprises early, and then it’s sort of smooth sailing all the way. I think people will be on the edge of their seats each and every single week."

What Jesse Palmer Teasing Major Bachelor Premiere Drama Means For Grant

Although the Bachelor season 29 fixed the mistake of making the lead a surprise by announcing Grant early, they don't seem to have learned from their past missteps of allowing drama to dominate the show. Jesse's tease of conflict among the opinionated women is concerning because Grant's mission in life is to become a husband and a father. It would be a shame if that were overshadowed by the petty conflict that has plagued other Bachelor seasons.

Our Take On Jesse Palmer Teasing Dramatic Bachelor Season 29 Premiere

The Bachelor's Focus Should Be Love

While it can be fun to watch the Bachelor contestants battle with each other, after a while, it becomes stressful to watch. I want to see Grant's journey to find love, not watch him mediate conflict among grown women who should know better. I want to get lost in the fairy tale romance of the show and not feel my blood pressure raised by watching frustrating arguments among the contestants.

I hope that Grant's Bachelor season has a good balance of drama and romance, which to me would mean that the majority of the show is devoted to his search for his future wife. Hopefully, the drama among the women will be taken care of early on, and whoever is causing the season to start off with a bang will be eliminated sooner rather than later. Grant deserves a beautiful Bachelor season and to find his happily-ever-after.
