Jerry Jones Got Booed Extremely Loudly At The Cotton Bowl

The Cotton Bowl Classic is being held at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, which is often nicknamed "Jerry World" due to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones having it build to his exact specifications.

But when it was time for Jones himself to appear at the palace of sports that he built, you would have thought that he was playing a road game against an NFL rival.

Prior to the game, the jumbotron at AT&T Stadium showed Jones in attendance in his luxury suite. While there isn't any video of what happened, tons of users on social media at the game have said that the boo birds promptly rained down on Jones:

"During the commercial break, they showed a bunch of celebrities on the videoboard here at Jerry World. Jerry Jones was booed very loudly," NBC's Nicole Auerbach wrote on X.

"Jerry Jones booed loudly when showed on the Jumbo at the Texas/Ohio State CFP game," another user wrote.

"Jerry Jones is in the building and got the loudest boo of the night by far! #CFBPlayoff @ChatSports," wrote a third.

"Jerry Jones was just loudly booed when shown on the big screen during a TV timeout at the Cotton Bowl," a fourth remarked.

You would think that there would be a lot of crossover between Texas Longhorns fans and Dallas Cowboys fans, or even Ohio State Buckeyes fans and Dallas Cowboys fans.

Then again, with the way the Cowboys performed this year and in the playoffs for the better part of 30 years, maybe they're booing him for exactly that reason.

The 2024 Dallas Cowboys started off terribly, going 3-5 through the first half of the year before Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury. The combined efforts of Trey Lance and Cooper Rush didn't fare much better in his absence, combining to go 4-5 overall en route to a 7-10 finish - their first losing record since 2020.

That's a pretty good reason for fans to boo.
