Jennifer Aydin addressed a rumor about her alleged divorce filing and husband Bill Aydin‘s supposed mistress in a series of posts shared to her Instagram page over the weekend.
Just months after being faced with another set of rumors claiming she and Bill, 52, had split, the 48-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star reacted to the suggestion that she had “officially” filed documents to end their marriage.
“Fake news people- wait til I show Bill,” Jennifer wrote in the caption of a June 14 post, which included a screenshot of a Facebook post from The Real Housewives of New Jersey Fan News account, who had shared an article titled, “RHONJ’s Jennifer Aydin Officially Files for Divorce From Husband Bill After He Whisks Mistress Away on Romantic Getaway to St. Barts.”
After clarifying that the rumor was “fake news,” Jennifer was met with a fan who was happy to hear that she and Bill were still together.
“That’s a relief,” the person wrote. “I was really hoping it wasn’t true. I love you both as a couple.”
In response, Jennifer shared Bill’s reaction to the claims.
“Ty! I [showed] Bill and he laughed!” she revealed.
Another person said that before coming across the false article on Facebook, they saw a video of Jennifer and Bill dancing.
“I saw this on Facebook today seconds after I saw you both dancing together. Lol glad you addressed it!!” they stated.
“People could post anything as clickbait -you really can’t believe everything you read,” Jennifer replied.
Then, after a third person suggested that it must have been a “slow day” for the RHONJ fan account, Jennifer said that they must have “[missed]” her.
“Hey- they must miss me- I have that effect on people.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is on pause ahead of its 15th season.
