Jayson Tatum named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

   

For the second time this season, Jayson Tatum has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week alongside Nikola Jokic in the West. Tatum was also given Player of the Week in Week 1 of this season.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics to a 3-1 record this week that included a 54 point blow out of the Raptors and two wins over tough Western Conference opponents with averages of 25.5 Points, 8.0 Rebounds and 4.5 Assists while shooting 43% from the field, and 38% from three.

This is the 12th time Jayson Tatum has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week in his career only trailing Paul Pierce (17) and Larry Bird (15) for the most in Celtics history.

Jayson Tatum has been playing some incredible basketball and has stepped up to play a bigger role with Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis missing time. This surely won’t be the last Player of the Week award Tatum wins this season as he continues to play some of his best basketball of his career.
