Jaylen Brown Receives Message From Celtics Star After Injury News

Boston Celtics star and reigning Finals MVP Jaylen Brown will enter the 2025 NBA Playoffs with an ailing knee injury to play through. It won't be clear how much that injury will affect him until the postseason starts, but the news was reported by ESPN's Ramona Shelburne that he received injections to manage the pain.

Among the players who know a thing or two about knee injuries is Kristaps Porzingis. Porzingis came to the Celtics with a reputation for being injury-prone. He hasn't had any problems with either of his knees since arriving in Boston, but he has had them in the past.

While talking with reporters on Wednesday, Porzingis revealed what he's told Brown from his experience with knee issues.

“We definitely talked about it, just because of my history — and also with some of the knee stuff that bothered me in the past,” Porzingis told reporters, per Celtics on CLNS. “We definitely talked. I gave him my point of view and what I thought could help him, and he did the things necessary to be as healthy and feeling good as possible for this run that we’re about to have.

Porzingis even added his two cents on how Brown looks even while dealing with the injury:

“And he looks good. He looks good. He’s always saying that he feels good, but he actually looks good, and that’s most important.”

Porzingis has had knee issues throughout his NBA career, with his worst one being when he tore his ACL in 2018. If there's one Celtics teammate who Brown should listen to, it's him.
