Jaxson Dart just gave Knicks fans one more reason to root for the Giants

Last weekend, New York City's sports teams dominated as the Knicks clinched their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance for the first time in 25 years, the Yankees defeated the Mets in Juan Soto's return to the Bronx, and the Liberty raised their championship banner and beat the Las Vegas Aces in their home opener. Talk about a whirlwind.

But fans aren't the only ones excited about the winning vibes. New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is too.

Eat Rutherford, NJ -- May 9, 2025 -- Jaxson Dart talks to the media following practice at Giants Rookie Minicamp.

This past weekend was also the NFLPA Rookie Premiere. This annual event allows select rookies to experience the business immersion side, which connects them with marketing opportunities and a chance to build their brand.

The Rookie Premiere's participants included Dart, Abdul Carter, and Cam Skattebo. The weekend-long event gave us plenty of viral moments and a chance to see the franchise's future all together in the same place while the offseason is in full swing.

One clip that surfaced on social media and stuck with fans was Dart making his official prediction on how he thinks this eventful NBA postseason would end.

Jaxson Dart is picking the Knicks to go all the way and make history

Dart has the Knicks beating the Indiana Pacers in six games. The series will tip off Wednesday night, and if they advance, could send them to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1994.

The Giants’ No. 25 pick has the Knicks taking down the Timberwolves in the Finals, with none other than Clutch Player of the Year Jalen Brunson sealing it in Game 7.

It’s nice to see Dart leaning into NYC’s sports teams. He will (hopefully) eventually be one of those faces and the team’s starter once Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston are no longer with the team, and his support for the local teams must be evident.

Giants' legendary quarterback Eli Manning has always done a great job with this. He has made appearances at Knicks and New Jersey Devils games and even threw out the first pitch at a Yankee game last summer on his bobblehead day, promoting the Giants' centennial season.

Dart is not the only Giants' rookie showing support for the Knicks; Carter has also expressed his fandom and interest in the team. The Giants' edge rusher attended the Knicks' first-round Game 5 loss against the Detroit Pistons at MSG and was actively tweeted throughout the last series against this past series against the Boston Celtics.

In his short time as the Giants ' quarterback, Russell Wilson has also embraced New York City's teams. He was in the building for the Knicks' series-clinching win over the Celtics as part of MSG's Celebrity Row alongside Michael Strahan.

Wilson was also in the Bronx for the Subway Series finale Sunday night between the Yankees and Mets. Russ went to spring training with the Yankees as a non-roster invitee in 2018 and posed for pictures with Aaron Judge and Anthony Volpe during batting practice.

We can expect Dart to lean into New York and make a few future appearances at a few games. You never know—maybe he'll be courtside next to Knicks superfans Spike Lee and Timothée Chalamet for this next series or potentially the Finals if the team makes it.
