Jalen Ramsey Trade Idea Sends Him To NFC For Infamous Ex 2nd Round Pick

Jalen Ramsey trade rumors have been going fairly consistently ever since the team announced that they had mutually decided to seek a trade for the 3 x All-Pro.

With many of them focusing on a potential reunion in Los Angeles for Ramsey, perhaps the Rams are not the sole viable trade partners for the Miami Dolphins.

Partially because the Rams don't have any particularly valuable assets at the cornerback position to send back to the Dolphins.

Having not addressed the position with much vigor, adding only Jason Marshall Jr. in the fifth round to the cornerback room, Miami will likely want a perimeter corner assett back in exchange for Ramsey.

At present, Cam Smith and Storm Duck are set to vye for the second outside corner spot opposite Ramsey and nickel back, Kader Kohou.

But few would really consider both Smith and Duck as the #1 and #2 CBs to be anything near a strong or viable combination, particularly for a team with quarterbacks Josh Allen and the emerging Drake Maye in division.

So perhaps a better option could be to send Ramsey to a team with a cornerback to send back, one on a rookie contract who could be up for grabs.

Enter the Chicago Bears, who have had somewhat of a tenuous relationship with CB2, Tyrique Stevenson, ever since his very premature celebration that lead to his conceding a last minute 'Hail Mary' touchdown against the Washington Commanders in Week 8 of last season.

The Dolphins could send Jalen Ramsey to the Bears in exchange for Stevenson, who has two years left on his rookie deal. Miami - who remain in cap hell - gets a young, cheap, dynamic corner who can start right away. And Chicago gets one of the premier cornerback talents in NFL history, who can and still is competing at a high level.

Dolphins get: Tyrique Stevenson

Bears get: Jalen Ramsey, 2026 sixth round pick.
