Jalen Hurts, ex-Tide QB, Eagles Super Bowl MVP weds Bry Burrows, couple met at Alabama

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts got married this spring, the former Alabama standout has revealed to Men’s Health.

Hurts and Bry Burrows became engaged in September.

The cover subject for the May/June issue of Men’s Health, Hurts told the magazine that he and Burrows were now married.

The couple met in 2016 while attending the University of Alabama.

Burrows holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Alabama. Hurts also holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and information sciences from Alabama and a master’s degree from Oklahoma in human relations. Hurts played his final season of college football for the Sooners in 2019.

“I knew a long time ago,” Hurts told Essence magazine about his relationship with Burrows before they announced their engagement. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”

Hurts has been Philadelphia’s starting quarterback for the past four seasons. The Eagles have participated in the NFL playoffs annually and reached the Super Bowl twice during that time. On Feb. 9, Philadelphia defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX to win the NFL championship for the 2024 season. Hurts won the game’s Most Valuable Player Award.

Hurts told Men’s Health that he “allocated five days” to celebrate the Super Bowl victory, then turned to preparation for the 2025 season.
