Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia Eagles land another weapon in latest 2025 NFL mock draft

The Philadelphia Eagles can go a number of ways in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, but sometimes, it's a good idea not to reach for needs if a top value pick is on the board.

Jalen Hurts and Philadelphia Eagles land another weapon in latest 2025 NFL mock draft

In A to Z Sports' Destin Adam's new two-round mock draft, that's exactly what happens here.

Adams has the Eagles selecting Ohio State star wide receiver Emeka Egbuka at No. 32 overall.

It's a shocking pick if Egbuka falls that far in Round 1, but definitely a player that the Eagles cannot pass up if he's available.

32. Philadelphia Eagles: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
"The Eagles always find a way to snag a player many are shocked to see fall in the draft. Here, they do it again by landing Ohio State star WR Emeka Egbuka. Snagging him to form a trio with AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith would be a scary sight for the rest of the league," - Destin Adams.

Egbuka, who is considered NFL-ready, enters the draft after reeling in 81 passes for over 1,011 yards and 10 touchdowns en route to a championship run with the Buckeyes in 2024.

The Eagles are pretty much set at wide receiver, but if you look at last year's track record, they had to manage some games without A.J. Brown due to injuries, and they relied heavily on Saquon Barkley and the run game. Even if Brown is healthier in 2025, making Egbuka their WR3 would be a scary sight for the rest of the NFL, just as Adams mentioned in his mock.

It's also worth noting that Egbuka recently went viral for his interview skills and overall presence.

"I spoke to a GM I trust and asked him who he thought had the best interview at the Combine. He said Emeka Egbuka. The same GM told me the same thing about Terry McLaurin many years ago. Here's Egbuka speaking with @StaceyDales. Who wouldn't want this guy?" Schrager wrote on X.

While there is no known Top 30 visit scheduled for Egbuka in Philly, that doesn't mean they don't have any eyes on him heading into April.
