It’s an ‘End of an Era’ as Bold & Beautiful’s Ashley Jones Says Goodbye: ‘But Change Is Good… and I’ll See You’

Back in June, word came that The Bold and the Beautiful would be leaving Television City Studios, where its filmed since the CBS soap’s debut on March 23, 1987, and moving to Sunset Las Palmas Studios in Los Angeles starting on August 19. Ashley Jones, who has played Bridget since 2004, shared a video on her official Instagram to say goodbye to the place she’s called home since before that.

For those who weren’t aware, Jones began her daytime career in 1997 playing Megan on The Young and the Restless, a role she held until 2000. She started the video, which was captioned, “Goodbye Stage 31, B&B is moving studios after almost four decades,” by walking through the place where she played both characters and admitted it was quite emotional.

“End of an era,” Jones began then talked about walking the halls as a teenager while playing on the Genoa City soap. “I grew up here. A lot of us did.” Thinking back to the “immense amount of life” she and her fellow castmates spent together, “loves come and gone, marriages, babies, heartbreak and successes,” Jones has made “some of closest friends in the world” there and credited how “the halls” gave her a huge life that took her around the world and back. “I’m over here crying,” she continued. “But change is good. And I’ll see you in the new hallway… new studio… our new home. Soon.”

Prior to that, in June, she posted a few photos and a video on set and shared, “Was kinda an emotional day for me shooting Bold & Beautiful. Will be fun to explain later.” And a day later details of the move had been reported exclusively by our sister site Deadline.

While change can be hard, like Jones stated, “change is good,” and we look forward to watching the new scenes that will be taped in the soap’s new home. For those wondering, Young & Restless will remain at Television City during its multi-year, billion-dollar renovation and expansion since the CBS soap still has a multi-year lease with no plans of relocating in the near future.
