'It's a different animal' - Eagles reveal perfect behind the scenes message from Nick Sirianni to his team

The Philadelphia Eagles treated fans to a behind-the-scenes look at offseason training in their latest "Unscripted" series.'It's a different animal' - Eagles reveal perfect behind the scenes message from Nick Sirianni to his team

Head coach Nick Sirianni kicked the video off, delivering a powerful message to his Super Bowl LIX-winning team.

"It's the monotony of every single day going through the same process because it's the same process that dictates results, "Sirianni said in a sit-down interview at the start of the video. "There's no shortcuts in it, so we're starting right back there at the beginning."

The clip then transitions to Sirianni speaking to his players during a team meeting, where his message continues.

"So, first, I want to say the celebration is over. Okay. The celebration. Preparation is here. The celebration is over. Preparation is here," Sirianni said. "As we continue through here. Last year, as we came into the 2024 season, there was a lot that we talked about handling adversity. Now, it's a little different. You've got to handle success. Right? It's a different animal. Right? You've got to handle success.

"Everyone right now, for the guys that have been here are telling you how good you are. Treat praise like perfume. Sniff it. Don't drink it. It's poison. "

Sirianni also touched on this message, though not as intensely, while speaking with reporters during mandatory minicamp.

He emphasized that his focus remains on sustaining success, which means starting fresh, resetting expectations, and committing to the hard work all over again.

So, here we are. We're in the offseason program. We're not worried about this," Sirianni repeatedly said while circling the top of a mountain peak. "There are so many steps you've got to take before this happens. Notice, how I don't have a picture of last year's mountain because when you're climbing a mountain, you are solely focused on where you are. You never look back. Ever."
