“It Doesn’t Have To End that Way”: Dak Prescott Bats For Mental Health Awareness Amidst Kyren Lacy’s Untimely Death

Dak Prescott, quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, encouraged people to ask for help in terms of mental health after Kyren Lacy’s reported suicide. Lacy, former wide receiver for the LSU Tigers, died on Saturday night after a police pursuit. The 24-year-old was embroiled in legal troubles after his rash driving last year killed a person in another vehicle.

Lacy was scheduled to appear in court in a few days. The talented player was also supposed to be a crucial pick in the 2025 NFL draft. However, his stock in the draft actually dropped after the legal issues began.

“Please!!! Ask 4 Help. It Doesn’t Have to End that Way! It takes all of US!” Dak Prescott captioned his Instagram post showing himself wearing an armband on which ‘ASK 4 HELP’ is written with a marker-pen.

Dak Prescott has been playing for the Dallas Cowboys since 2016 after being selected by the team as the 135th pick in the four round of the draft. In his very first year for the team, Prescott managed to create a strong impression and won the ‘NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year’ title.

Prescott and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys are currently awaiting their offseason training program for the 2025 NFL season. In the previous season, the Cowboys finished third in the NFC East after winning seven games and losing ten.
