The three-part Vanderpump Rules reunion has officially commenced, and while Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval addressed their drama through tears in the first installment that aired on May 14, fans are already spiraling with theories. One theory points to Ariana exiting the show (which has not yet been confirmed or denied) while the latest one to take over our timelines alleges that the end of the beloved Bravo series is near.

However, TMZ reported back in April that the show will be on hiatus (and as reassured by @QueensOfBravo, not canceled) as it pauses filming this summer.

Our heads are swirling with questions!

According to Lisa Vanderpump, she and the rest of the cast are pumping the breaks after an intense season that commenced once Scandoval unfolded last year.

Vanderpump Rules is on hiatus just for a little bit,” Lisa told E! News during Disney’s 2024 Upfront presentation on May 14. “Let it breathe. I think we were going around in circles for a little bit.” She also revealed that she’s gearing up to open another restaurant in September, so that she needs “a couple of months” to prepare.

On top of opening two restaurants, Lisa also introduced two new reality shows—Bravo’s The Valley and Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa—in the past year. “It’s been a very busy year, three shows on the air and two restaurants to open” she explained. “I wouldn’t mind a breath myself.”

As for the fate of VPR, Andy Cohen gave some insight during the May 1 episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live.

“We used to do this all the time with the Housewives,” he said. “We would say, ‘You know what? Let’s put cameras down for, you know, four or five months and come back to them.’ And they will have lived life. Things will be different.”

He added, “People do forget—especially as it relates to Ariana, who was the one cheated on—people forget that we picked up cameras three months after she found out about that affair, so that’s why she’s still in the violently angry stage and you can understand that.”

So, TL;DR: Vanderpump Rules is not canceled although a potential 12th season has not been announced yet, and the show will take a filming hiatus to regroup until further notice. Cool-cool-cool.
