KANSAS CITY, MO — Patrick Mahomes has always been known for pushing the boundaries of quarterback play — but now, he might be cooking up something even more outrageous.
During a closed-door red zone drill at Chiefs training camp, witnesses claim Mahomes unleashed a left-handed sidearm pass on the run, hitting rookie wideout Xavier Worthy in the corner of the end zone. While no official footage has been released, the buzz around the move has exploded online, with fans dubbing it “Mahomes Magic 2.0.”
“Let’s just say he’s not done evolving,” one team insider teased. “He’s experimenting, and some of it is absolutely insane.”
With the Chiefs retooling their offense post-Hardman and JuJu, Mahomes appears to be expanding his improvisational bag of tricks — potentially adding never-before-seen throws to his arsenal in 2025.
If this is what he’s trying at camp, imagine what he’s saving for Sundays.
