The Green Bay Packers were just five points shy of defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in week one of this season. A lot has changed since then. Green Bay finished the year 11-6 and secured their second straight playoff berth in the Jordan Love-era.
Philadelphia went on a run and finished the season an incredible 14-3. One game shy of the number one seed in the NFC (Detroit Lions).
However, Green Bay has the option of considering bringing back a former starter to help them for their playoff run.
“I Can Play” Packers See Former Starter Ask For Final 53-Man Roster Spot For Playoff Run (Report)

According to a source at Wisconsin Sports Heroics:
Many fans feel as though Green Bay will need to play perfect to compete with the Eagles, Lions, or Vikings in the playoffs (if they win on Sunday against Philadelphia).
One former Green Bay starter wants to help.
Green Bay insider Tom Silverstein posted this to Twitter (X) on Monday:
LaFleur said that GM Brian Gutekunst is looking to see if there are some free agent players who can help them since they potentially have two spots on the 53-man roster (Alexander and Watson).
Likely would have to be someone who has played with them or in their system.
In response, tight end Jace Sternberger had this to say:
I promise I can still cover punts and won’t be any drama with wanting to wear #87
Just gotta keep dominating the UFL. I still believe I can make it back with the right opportunity

Here is a look at Sternberger’s stats during his time with Green Bay:
