The veteran quarterback will look to help the Giants win more than just three games in 2025. To go along with Wilson in the quarterback room, Jameis Winston is listed second on the depth chart, rookie Jaxson Dart is listed third, and Tommy DeVito is listed fourth. Wilson played with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2024 NFL season.

It was not a secret that the Giants need to improve its quarterback room in the offseason. With New York signing Wilson, it will be an upgrade for them compared to what they had in 2024. Over the weekend at Fanatics Fest in New York, Wilson talked about why he signed with the Giants, and it largely had to do with the team having wide receiver Malik Nabers on the roster.

Wilson said,

“I came here because of him. I really wanted to play with someone who is special like him.”

Wilson during the 2024 NFL season with Pittsburgh completed 63.7% of his passes for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also rushed for 155 yards on 43 carries and two touchdowns, along with averaging 3.6 yards per carry. The 36-year-old is looking to feed Nabers the ball early and often in 2025.

During the 2025 season, Nabers caught 109 passes for 1,204 yards receiving and seven touchdowns, along with averaging 11.0 yards per reception. He was targeted 170 times during the 2024 NFL season. Nabers was fifth in receptions and seventh in receiving yards in 2024. There is a chance that he will produce similar, if not better numbers for the Giants during the 2025 NFL season.

Nabers might have had the worst quarterback room to deal with in the NFL last season, and he produced in 2024. If Wilson connects with Nabers right away in 2025, there is a good chance that it leads to more wins and also a chance for him to go over 1,500 yards receiving.
