The Houston Texans beat the Los Angeles Chargers and are now set to play the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the 2024 playoffs after they beat a team that everyone said was better than them. Those same people are saying the same things about the Chiefs now, only giving the Texans more fuel to add to the fire.
But, the Texans are already getting a head start on taking on their opponent. In fact, they have already beat them in one area. Well, kind of.
The Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs have crossed paths before. Earlier this season, they met, and it was a double blow for the Texans; not only did they lose on the scoreboard, but they also saw Tank Dell suffer a devastating injury. Back in 2019, during the playoffs, the Texans were up by 20 points at one stage, only to end up losing by the same margin. That was another tough day for Houston's supporters.
But, this time the Texans have the advantage when it comes to the mascots. Yes, you read that right.
The Houston Texans mascot, Toro, put out a video already, showing he and the Chiefs mascot riding in a golf cart, while he slammed on the brakes and made the Chiefs mascot, KC Wolf, flip forward and look as if he broke his neck. It was all fun and games, though, of course.
In all seriousness, this should be a good game, especially if we get the same Texans team we saw in the second half against the Chargers. If we do, then we will be seeing them play either the Baltimore Ravens or the Buffalo Bills.
