The Houston Texans are in dire need of two of their superstars. One, Will Anderson Jr. has been playing so well the last few weeks, and is even in the top 10 in quarterback pressures on the year, with his counterpart Danielle Hunter leading the league in pressures.
But the biggest glaring need they have right now, besides an entirely new offensive line to protect their prized possession quarterback C.J. Stroud. The other thing they need back, is, well, all of the players they have lost to injuries, specifically a few that come to mind.
The first, while he isn't lost, he is banged up and hurt pretty badly. He was banged up against the New York Jets, and now, there is a bit of an update on his status heading into the Texans' Sunday Night Football game against the Detroit Lions.
"We're still evaluating Will," DeMeco Ryans said on Monday.
Like I said, kind of an injury update.
The guy that is missed the most, and it's so glaringly obvious, is wide receiver Nico Collins. Since he's been out with a hamstring injury, it's been hard for the offense to get anything going. Getting Collins back won't fix all of their issues, but it will certainly make things easier.
He appears to be getting closer.
"We'll continue to evaluate Nico (Collins) throughout the week and see where he is, "Ryans continued.
The Texans play the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football this upcoming week, and then they play on Monday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. The Texans just lost to the New York Jets, so these are games they really need to win.
