Heat make flurry of roster moves immediately after 2025 NBA Draft

The Miami Heat, for the most part, made the decision to remain on the sidelines during day two of the 2025 NBA Draft. However, slowly after the conclusion of the second round, Pat Riley and the rest of the front office quickly went to work to round out the rest of the team's offseason and summer league roster.

Miami Heat's nightmare outcome for 2025 NBA Draft

After making quite the splash in the first round of the NBA Draft with their selection of Kasparas Jakucionis, the Heat will be looking to strike gold again with at least one of their undrafted free-agent signings. It's far from a guarantee, but the Heat has had previous luck with this approach. If there's any team that has made the most out of undrafted signings, it's the Heat.

Here's the list of the undrafted free agent the Heat signed after the NBA Draft:

Miami Heat's 2025 UDFA signings

Vlad Goldin, C, Michigan
Marcus Williams, G, San Fransicso
Steve Settle III, F, Temple
Dain Dainja, C, Memphis
Oumar Ballo, C, Indiana

The one interesting name that sticks out from this group of undrafted free agents, which could still change or grow, is Vlad Goldin. He's a big 7-foot-1 center that was inked to a two-way deal shortly after the conclusion of the 2025 NBA Draft.

There was a chance he was going to be selected in the NBA Draft because of his size and experience, but, in the end, the Heat was able to snag him as an undrafted free agent. If he can make enough of a difference this offseason in summer league, there's a chance he could grow into a potential role for the Heat.

As one of the more experienced undrafted free agents, Goldin will have the opportunity to grow into a backup role for the Heat sooner rather than later. Considering the team has a big hole behind Kel'el Ware, it'll be interesting to see if there is any initial promise that the Heat can get out of Goldin this offseason.

In addition to this list of undrafted free agents, there are a few other players who are expected to also be on the Heat's summer league roster. Those include first-round pick Kasparas Jakucionis, Kira Lewis, Bryson Warren, Erik Stevenson, JC Butler, Pelle Larsson, Myron Gardner, JaVonte Cooke, and Kel'el Ware.

The Heat are expected to start summer league practice in a few days, and the Heat's first game will take place on July 5 against the San Antonio Spurs in the California Classic.
