Grading Stephen Curry's Season With Warriors Through NBA All-Star Break

This season, Stephen Curry made his 11th NBA All-Star Game, but that is one of only a few things worth celebrating for the Golden State Warriors. At 28-27, they have fallen quite far from their hot start and are struggling to make the postseason.

After adding Jimmy Butler, the Dubs have gone 3-1 and will likely continue to rise up in the standings, but in our grade of Curry's season thus far, we will only be factoring in what has happened, not what could happen.

This season so far, Curry is averaging 23.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. The scoring output is the lowest of his in a full season since 2012-13, and, at 39 percent from 3-point range, is having the second-worst shooting season of his career.

However, he is still one of the very best shooters and scorers in the league. While it's clear that he can no longer be the first option on a title team, at 36 years old, there's no realistic expectation that he should be still producing at that level.

As the best player on the team, there is a degree of responsibility on his shoulders for the Warriors' lackluster season, although a lot of it could be blamed on the overall lack of improvement from the young players.

For taking a predictable step back but continuing to age with grace, Curry's first half of the season has earned a solid B, with the hope it can improve as the season goes on.
