Jack explained that he thought that his ex-wife was at first thinking that he would "say something stupid because I have a habit of saying something stupid." However, he vowed, "I would never disrespect her. She's a wonderful woman. Just not the woman for me."

Jack Has Proven Himself To Be A Stand-Up Guy

Jack made quite a first impression on both Joan and Bachelor Nation when he came out of the limousine singing "My Way." He also wowed Joan with his cooking during the cocktail party, with his meal of tenderloin medallions with a Bordelaise sauce, asparagus, and rice, which Joan said was delicious. Now Jack has proven that he's a stand-up guy by praising his ex-wife, and promising that he'd never show her any disrespect. This is an important quality, especially when participating in a reality dating show, because it shows that Jack is a kind man who has respect for women.

If Jack doesn't end up with Joan, he'd be the perfect choice to star in The Golden Bachelor season 2.
