WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS POSSIBLE SPOILERS ABOUT THE GOLDEN BACHELOR SEASON 2!The Golden Bachelor contestant Kathy Swarts has spoiled The Golden Bachelor season 2 lead by confirming that Mark Anderson is in a relationship, and, therefore, won't be able to star in the much-anticipated sophomore season of the show. Bachelor Nation fell in love with Mark when he appeared in Joey Graziadei's Bachelor season because he's Joey's fiancée, Kelsey's, dad. Although Mark and Joan Vassos shared a deep friendship on The Golden Bachelorette season 1, she said goodbye to him because she thought that he wasn't fully ready to date after losing his wife, Denise, six years earlier.
Kathy seems to have confirmed the speculation about Mark and Barbara's relationship.
Mark had been a frontrunner to be the next Golden Bachelor lead since he made his Bachelor Nation debut. However, social media posts revealed that he and One Tree Hill actress Barbara Alyn Woods have been spending time together, leading fans to assume that they're dating. They even wore a couple's costume of Cinderella and Prince Charming for Halloween. Now, Kathy seems to have confirmed the speculation about Mark and Barbara's relationship.
In an Instagram post, Kathy shared a photograph of herself and Mark at The Golden Bachelorette season 1 finale, with the caption, "He isn’t mine AND this is a fine guy who has found his happy! Celebrate @mark.t.anderson." In the comments section of the post, Mark wrote, "Such a wonderful time, so grateful that we got the opportunity to see each other again!"
Kathy responded, "@mark.t.anderson and loved seeing you so happy with your beautiful lady! [red heart emoji]." Although Kathy didn't mention Barbara's name, her comment at least confirms that Mark is in a relationship, and won't be able to be the next Golden Bachelor.

What Mark Anderson's Relationship Status Means For The Golden Bachelor
Mark Most Likely Won't Be The Golden Bachelor
Although Mark hasn't confirmed his relationship with Barbara, Kathy's comments seem to indicate that they're definitely an item. This means that Mark most likely won't be the next Golden Bachelor. Bachelor Nation fans will surely be disappointed that they won't have the opportunity to watch a whole season starring Mark, but it's wonderful that he's found a new love in his life. Although it's possible that he and Barbara could break up, and he could take the lead, the hope is that his new relationship lasts.
Our Take On Who Might Be The Next Golden Bachelor
There Are Several Possibilities From The Golden Bachelorette
Many of the men from The Golden Bachelorette season 1 started off as strong contenders to be the next Golden Bachelor, but some of them are now out of the running for various reasons. Like Mark, Jonathan Rone has found love after the show, which he announced during Joan's finale. Also, Jordan Heller and Leslie Fhima have been rumored to be a possible couple, which means that he won't be the lead either.
In addition to the some of the Golden Bachelorette men beginning new relationships after the show, a few of them have become too controversial to be considered as the Golden Bachelor lead. Pascal Ibgui broke Joan's heart by self-eliminating after telling her that he wasn't in love with her. He also later said that winner Chock Chapple acted like a stalker and displayed bizarre behavior during the bowling group date. Although Pascal apologized for these actions, they did tarnish his image.
The Golden Bachelorette season 1 runner-up Guy Gansert is also unlikely to be cast as the next Golden Bachelor because of the restraining order that his ex-wife filed against him, which was later dropped. This revelation ruined Guy's reputation, so he most likely won't star in his own season. However, there are some phenomenal, fan-favorite guys who should be considered as the star of The Golden Bachelor season 2, including Charles Ling, Keith Gordon, Dan Roemer, and Gary Levingston. Although Mark is no longer the frontrunner, it's fantastic to hear that his relationship with Barbara is going so well.
