Coming into the 2023 NFL regular season, the New York Giants had high hopes of capitalizing on what was an impressive showing during the 2022 campaign, which resulted in clinching a playoff berth and getting an upset win over the Minnesota Vikings.

However, the Giants eventually flamed out in the playoffs, with the team losing to the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles in the next round, but the team had done enough to spark a lot of optimism moving forward.

Unfortunately, the 2022 season seems to have been somewhat of a fluke, as the team looked completely different in 2023, quickly turning into one of the worst teams in the league, finishing with only six wins and resulting in some drastic changes during the NFL offseason.

During the offseason, the Giants lost superstar running back Saquon Barkley in free agency, and the team seemed to fall apart with a rough road ahead.

Although the Giants’ future seems a bit rough, linebacker Brian Burns seems to think that the team’s pass rush has a bright future ahead, claiming that the “sky’s the limit” for what they can do via Around The NFL.

Only time will tell whether the Giants can dig themselves out of the hole they’re in, but Burns’ attitude is definitely a step in the right direction, along with the team bringing in a potential superstar wide receiver, Malik Nabers, in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Things won’t get any easier for the Giants in the NFC East, with the Washington Commanders making some moves in the offseason, as well as the Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys expected to be a dominant force once again in 2024.
