It was a disappointing season for the New York Giants, going just 3-14 and having one of the worst offenses, ranking 30th in total yards per game (294.8) and 31st in points per game (16.1)
Of course, they've made several changes to the quarterback room, including signing free agent Russell Wilson to a one-year, $10.5 million contract and drafting Jaxson Dart with the No. 25 pick.
However, they may not be done yet, as Alex Kay of Bleacher Report lists the Giants as the ideal landing spot for wide receiver Keenan Allen, who still sits in the open market.
"Keenan Allen fits the bill as a proven receiver with a long history of production throughout his decorated NFL career..... Whether he ends up establishing a potent veteran battery with Wilson or serves as a safety net for the developing Dart, Allen should be able to carve out a meaningful role working as the Giants' No. 2 option behind Nabers," Kay wrote.
Allen is coming off a relatively down year for the Chicago Bears, starting 15 total games, while accumulating 70 receptions, 744 yards and seven touchdowns on 121 targets.
However, even those numbers would outperform the Giants' No. 2 wide receiver last season, Wan'Dale Robinson, who in 17 games was targeted 93 times, racking up 93 receptions, 699 yards and three touchdowns.
Allen has also established himself as one of the best wide receivers throughout his 12 years in the NFL, earning six Pro Bowl appearances and making $133 million in career earnings.
It's not as though the Giants would need to pay some hefty price tag for the 33-year-old either, as Spotrac places his market value at just $11.1 million annually.
