Giants staring down last-best chance to squeeze out a win

He has been here before, which is why he says, somewhat glumly, “I kind of know exactly what this feels like.”

Yes, he does. Micah McFadden is in his third season with the Giants, and that means he knows all too well what it feels like to lose, game after game. As bad as it has been — this season is worse than ever — it is not the worst he’s ever experienced.

As a senior at Indiana in 2021, McFadden was a team captain as the Hoosiers went 2-10, losing their last eight games.

The Giants take a 2-10 record into Sunday’s game against the Saints at MetLife Stadium and it is not hyperbole to suggest that this is the last-best chance for the Giants to win a game. Or else, the threat of closing out the season on a 12-game losing streak looms even larger and more ominous than the current seven-game skid.
