The New York Giants likely will have an opportunity at the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL Draft to take a face of the franchise.
And if the Giants choose to take either Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter or Colorado two-way superstar Travis Hunter, that sets up an intriguing trade possibility.
NFL analyst Warren Sharp suggested just a move in his latest mock draft.
Sharp has the Giants going with the Heisman Trophy winner Hunter with the third overall choice.
Then New York trades back into the first round.
Sharp has the Giants target the No. 24 selection, currently held by the Minnesota Vikings.
And when the Giants get there, they go quarterback, specifically Ole Miss stud Jaxson Dart.
It'd be a bold move by New York, but maybe a necessary one. It could be hard to pass up a skill-position franchise cornerstone at No. 3, but then the Giants certainly need a QB.
Dart just might be the answer.
