Giants Predicted to Ink 10-Time Pro Bowl QB as Free Agency Dominoes Set to Fall

Free agency is already heating up around the NFL, and quarterback dominoes appear likely to begin falling as soon as Monday, March 10.

Dianna Russini has reported that the Pittsburgh Steelers plan to extend an offer to Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold, in whom the Seattle Seahawks are also interested along with four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers.

"The Steelers are expected to make an offer to pending free agent Sam Darnold, per source," Russini posted to X Sunday. "Many around the league believe Darnold will wind up in Seattle, but Pittsburgh is doing its due diligence on any potential options ahead of the new league year."

"The Seahawks are expected to talk with Aaron Rodgers about their QB vacancy, per source," Russini reported, also on March 9. "Rodgers is free to meet with interested teams as the QB carousel continues to spin on the eve of free agency."

With Darnold likely to land in Seattle and Justin Fields reportedly the favorite to return to Pittsburgh -- assuming the Steelers don't steal Darnold out from under the Seahawks -- the New York Giants are poised to potentially have a choice between two 10-time Pro Bowl quarterbacks: Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson.

Mike Jones of The Athletic predicted Sunday that the Giants will land on Rodgers as their choice.

"It's hard to say how appealing the Giants would be to Aaron Rodgers, because they seemingly have a ways to go before they are ready to contend," Jones wrote. "But the Giants certainly need a quarterback after ending the Daniel Jones experiment last season and swinging and missing at Matthew Stafford. Could Rodgers be the answer? A young receiver like Malik Nabers does make New York a little more attractive."

The Giants also own the No. 3 pick in next month's NFL draft and will likely have an opportunity to select either Cam Ward of Miami or Shedeur Sanders of Colorado if the Tennessee Titans decide to go with a player other than one of those two QBs with the No. 1 overall choice.
