Giants get major Shedeur Sanders update after private workout announcement

Yes, it’s true. Brian Daboll and the New York Giants front office are hopping on a flight to see Shedeur Sanders in person just days before the NFL Draft.

The Giants need their quarterback of the future and well, Sanders could be just that.

Tuesday's Top Play

Todd McShay reported on the seismic news earlier today, confirming that Sanders in New York could absolutely be in play.

“No one is saying it’s going to happen, but people are telling me, don’t close the book on Shedeur Sanders to the Giants at three. It’s either Shedeur or it’s Abdul Carter. And most people think it’s going to be Abdul Carter. It’s interesting, though,” McShay said.

The Giants’ QB room has already taken some shape with  Russell Wilson signed on  a one-year deal for the G-men. Their quarterback of the future is still up in the air though.

McShay also dropped a bombshell on what his sources are saying regarding if Sanders falls more in the draft.

"I tend to trust where I'm getting this information," McShay said. "Mike Tomlin really likes Shedeur. If he's there at 21, Shedeur could very well be a Pittsburgh Steeler. If Aaron Rodgers is a Steeler, I don't think one would have to do with the other. It's two different elements to this. Rodgers would be to win games now. Drafting Shedeur Sanders, if he's there at 21, would be to finally get the solution at the most important position for the long term."
