The Giants are looking for more weapons and head coach Brian Daboll has some ideas.
New York already has Malik Nabers but there is an opening at WR2.
That's where Gabe Davis comes in.
The wide receiver was released by the Jaguars last week and is already scheduled to visit with the Giants on Wednesday, the New York Post reports.
If you were to say New York is courting Davis or vice versa, this wouldn't be the first date.
Daboll was the offensive coordinator for the Bills when Davis played there from 2020-2022.
He oversaw some of Davis's best performances, including his playoff-record four touchdown performance against the Chiefs.
It was a rough season for 'Big Game Gabe' as he played in 10 games for the Jaguars last season, ending with 20 receptions for 239 yards. He sat out the final seven games with a torn meniscus.
As presently constructed, the Giants would have Wan'Dale Robinson or Darius Slayton as the wide receiver to partner with Nabers. Neither of those options are stellar and Daboll could revive Davis's career with their past experience together.
Whether it's Russell Wilson or Jaxson Dart, Davis could provide a deep threat for whoever is under center.
After Wednesday's visit, New York could have a new pass catcher.
