Getting It Right: Do Las Vegas Raiders Fans Still Trust Mark Davis?

Raiders owner Mark Davis

With another losing season in the books for the Silver and Black, it’s fair to ask if Las Vegas Raiders fans think owner Mark Davis will eventually “get it right” at this point.

Since taking the reins following the passing of his father, the legendary Al Davis, Mark has accomplished a lot in business terms. The Raiders’ overall financial value has significantly increased; he has successfully completed the team’s relocation to Sin City, and more recently, he is involving others in the team’s operations.

Tom Brady is now a minority owner, and he has also reached an agreement to sell additional stakes. According to The Athletic, a 15 percent ownership stake could be up for a vote at league meetings in December—Silver Lake co-CEO Egon Durban and Discovery Land Company founder Michael Meldman would split it evenly.

The most notable part is that Davis would keep his controlling stake even if the vote passes.

Mark Davis isn’t going anywhere, Raiders fans…

So, naturally, Raiders fans need to accept that Davis isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon. Even with Brady reportedly taking on a big role moving forward, Davis is still the boss. We chose to assess the sentiment of Raider Nation, as our readers are known for their candidness. In fact, over half of the voters have “zero faith” in Davis at the moment. Serious question for Raider Nation—how much faith do you have that Raiders owner Mark Davis will “get it right” this offseason?

With a pivotal AFC West matchup with the Denver Broncos quickly approaching this week, the Raiders could be starting down at their ninth loss of the year. Unfortunately, emotions will only get worse as the losses pile up. Regardless of whether you are “embracing the tank,” it’s not easy for your squad to be one of the league’s doormats—no amount of coping erases that.
