A former WWE titleholder has hurled a dig at the Dallas Cowboys.
Seth Rollins has been known to ruffle some feathers with his football takes. While Rollins is one of the biggest stars in WWE, he’s also a passionate NFL fan. His favorite team is the Chicago Bears, and he hasn’t been shy talking some trash about division rivals.
While the Cowboys aren’t in the same division as the Bears, that hasn’t stopped “The Visionary” from using his gift of gab to taunt fans of the Jerry Jones-owned team. The Bears are set to host the Cowboys at Soldier Field during week three of the 2025 NFL season.
Rollins made an appearance “The Rich Eisen Show” to break down the upcoming season for the Bears. It’s clear that Rollins thinks highly of his team’s chances to turn things around, especially when it comes to the showdown with the Cowboys.
“Dallas Cowboys? Blowout game,” Rollins said. “Done, over. Two and one, Bears baby. Dallas, come on. Get out of here. Cowboys ain’t going to win that game. They may not win a road game all season.”
As far as Rollins’ in-ring status is concerned, reports have surfaced claiming that the WWE “Raw” star may not be as injured as the company is letting on. Rollins landed on his feet when attempting a springboard moonsault during a match on “Saturday Night’s Main Event,” but he immediately grabbed his knee. His opponent, LA Knight, hit the BFT and scored the pin for the quick finish.
It was reported that the feeling internally was that Rollins was injured on the spot and the show had to be retooled on the fly. Since then, new reports have claimed that Rollins had a minor injury prior to the show, and WWE used the moonsault spot as a cover for the MITB briefcase holder to take some time off before potentially making a surprise cash-in.
