Veteran wide receiver Pharoh Cooper announced to his X page this week that he is officially retiring from the NFL.

“Farewell football, I’m officially retiring from the NFL,” wrote Cooper. “I’m forever grateful and give all the glory to God that I was able to live out my childhood dream.

“I appreciate all the love and support I’ve received from my family, friends, and fans through out my career,” Cooper added. “Much love.”

Still only 29 years old, Cooper was a fourth-round pick by the Rams in 2016 (No. 117 overall). He went on to become both a receiver and a return specialist for the Rams, earning an All-Pro selection at the latter position during the 2017 season. Cooper was then released by the Rams following the 2018 campaign and went on to have stints with the Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Giants.

The former University of South Carolina star Cooper had not been with an NFL team since a five-game stint with Arizona in the 2022 season. Now he is formally calling it a wrap on his career, becoming the latest ex-Rams All-Pro to do so this offseason.
