Former Raiders OL takes random shot at Charles Omenihu on social media

The Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders rivalry is one of the fiercest rivalries in the league. Fortunately, K.C. has ascended to to the top of the NFL mountain over the last half decade while the Raiders are stuck in reverse, continuing to put bad season after bad season together.

Clearly this rivalry sticks with players even after they leave one of the teams, as evidenced by the latest trash talking attempt from Jermaine Eluemunor. For those who don't immediately recognize that name, you're probably not alone. Eluemunor, an offensive lineman, has bounced around the league since getting drafted in the fifth round by the Ravens in 2017.

Eluemunor spent two years in Baltimore and then two years in New England before spending three years with the Raiders from 2021 to 2023. His hatred of the Chiefs clearly carried over despite him not playing in Vegas anymore (he's now with the Giants), as he took a random shot at Charles Omenihu on X.

Last week, Omenihu posted a message about coming back from injury, noting that 2025 would be his first full season since returning from the ACL injury he suffered early last year. Eluemunor decided to repost this and say, "Refuel, Retool, and still suck".

Jermaine Eluemunor clearly still hates the Chiefs

The only somewhat logical explanation here is that Eluemunor was trying to dunk on Omenihu for the Super Bowl 59 loss. I'm still confused about this exchange though. Omenihu has at least played in a Super Bowl (not to mention won one, even if he wasn't healthy for Super Bowl 58, he was a big part in helping K.C. get to that point in the first place), while Eluemunor has yet to do so.

What's even more random about this is that Omenihu posted the original message last week, on February 13, to be exact. Eluemunor posted his response nearly a week later. It's almost as if he originally saw the post and then took nearly a week to think of what the perfect "ooh burn!" response would be. Maybe he should have taken more time to come up with a better one or simply sat this one out and left it alone.
