Chiefs Roster: Titans poach DT Keondre Coburn from practice squad - Arrowhead Pride

Keondre Coburn has only been in the National Football League since the 2023 NFL Draft, but he's already well on his way to completing a tour of the entire AFC West. That's because the Las Vegas Raiders provided a place for him to land this week after being released by the Tennessee Titans as training camps got underway.

The Titans decided to remake their defensive front with a few roster moves to start the preseason, and the game of musical roster chairs left Coburn on the outside looking in. The Raiders submitted a claim on Coburn, and now the former Kansas City Chiefs draft choice will hope to turn enough heads to make the active roster in Sin City—or at least a practice squad slot.

Coburn has a ripe opportunity ahead of him for a needy defensive interior in Las Vegas. The Raiders decided to recently release Christian Wilkins from his contract after a single season of his blockbuster free-agent deal signed in 2024. It's a massive hit to a team hoping to climb its way out of the AFC West basement—or at least make some notable headway.

Keondre Coburn has landed with his third AFC West team.

The Chiefs drafted Coburn in the 2023 NFL Draft, but the former Texas defensive lineman failed to make the team's active roster. He was waived by the team—likely headed for the practice squad—after just a few weeks into his rookie campaign—and the Denver Broncos submitted a waiver claim. From there, he was released and returned to the Chiefs.

It was only two months later that the Titans came calling with an active roster spot and poached him from the Chiefs practice squad. It was in Tennessee that Coburn earned his only real playing time at the NFL level. Last season, he appeared in 15 games for the Titans and even started in Week 4 in a win over the Miami Dolphins.

The Titans gave Coburn an extension for the 2025 season, but decided to part ways after a full offseason with the team.

Coburn now only needs a stint with the Los Angeles Chargers in order to complete the AFC West circuit after spending time on the rosters of every other team. We're not sure that's a worthy goal, but at least he can claim a bit of familiarity with everyone involved in case that helps his chances in Las Vegas.
