Former Broncos First-Round Pick Predicted to Be Cut By Seahawks

After being traded from Denver to Seattle three years ago as a part of the massive Russell Wilson trade, tight end Noah Fant has not necessarily satisfied the expectations many had hoped for since coming out of Iowa.

Former Broncos First-Round Pick Predicted to Be Cut By Seahawks

Matt Okada from NFL.com released an article with his 21 notable cut candidates in the NFC, listing Fant as a potential release option for the Seahawks after only posting five touchdowns in his last three seasons. Fant played three seasons in Denver (like Seattle), with every season statistically better than any season with the Seahawks.

Seattle can save $8.9 million by parting ways with Fant, who will enter his eighth NFL season in 2025. The Seahawks are set to enter free agency over the cap with slightly over $6 million needed to become cap complacent.

Still only 27 years old, Noah Fant has plenty of football left in him. The Broncos will be on the hunt for a tight end (or two) this offseason, and should Fant become available, expect Denver to do their due diligence on the former first-round pick. Denver’s current tight end room under the contract includes Adam Trautman, Nate Adkins, and Thomas Yassmin.

Perhaps a reunion could be in order.
