Former Alabama offensive lineman returning to Birmingham Stallions

   

Deonte Brown is going to give the United Football League another try after he won a championship with the Birmingham Stallions but played in only one regular-season game in 2024.

The former Alabama guard has re-signed with the Stallions, the UFL announced on Wednesday.

After three seasons with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, Brown joined Birmingham for the 2024 spring-football campaign and started the opening game at left guard. But in the Stallions’ 27-14 victory over the Arlington Renegades on March 30, Brown sustained an ankle injury in the first quarter that landed him on injured reserve.

Brown missed the remainder of the regular season. Hereturned in reserve roles for the 31-18 victory over the Michigan Panthers in the USFL Conference Championship Game on June 8 and the 25-0 victory over the San Antonio Brahmas in the UFL Championship Game on June 16.
