Falcons Face Tough 2025-26 NFL Road Ahead: Season Schedule Released

The Atlanta Falcons’ 2024-25 NFL season is shaping up to be a high-stakes campaign filled with primetime clashes, heated divisional rivalries, and late-season battles that could decide the NFC South crown. With a schedule that tests their grit from Week 1 to Week 18, the Falcons will need to hit the ground running if they want to turn playoff aspirations into reality.

The journey begins at home on September 8 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, a statement opportunity to set the tone for the year. Just over a week later, the Falcons hit the national stage on Monday Night Football, traveling to face the Philadelphia Eagles on September 16. Week 3 turns the spotlight up even brighter, as Atlanta hosts the Kansas City Chiefs in an NBC Sunday Night Football showdown—one of the most anticipated games of the year.

The first month closes with a divisional test against the New Orleans Saints on September 29, before an early October primetime duel against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football (October 3). That game marks the Falcons’ first of two battles with their Florida rivals this season.

October also includes road trips to Carolina and Tampa Bay, along with a home matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. November begins with a home contest against the Dallas Cowboys, followed by two challenging road games—at the Saints and at Denver—before a Week 12 bye gives the Falcons a chance to regroup.

The post-bye stretch is a gauntlet. December opens with a home matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, followed by road trips to Minnesota and Las Vegas. The Falcons’ Christmas season features back-to-back home games against the New York Giants (Dec. 22) and Washington Commanders (Dec. 29), both of which could have playoff implications.

Atlanta closes out the regular season at home against the Carolina Panthers on January 5—a game that could decide the NFC South title if the standings remain tight.

With four primetime appearances—including games on ESPN, NBC, and Prime Video—the Falcons will be a frequent feature in front of national audiences. The mix of early-season blockbusters, midseason divisional showdowns, and late-season playoff-positioning games promises plenty of drama.

For the Falcons, the mission is simple but demanding: protect home turf, seize control of the NFC South, and prove they can go toe-to-toe with the league’s elite. The stage is set, and Atlanta is ready for liftoff.
